Yes, with the right privacy basis. The cropped photo is sensitive data and is transferred cross-border to the cloud AI provider; under Saudi PDPL this is permitted with explicit patient consent, Standard Contractual Clauses (SDAIA SCCs), and TRA registration where required. In-Kingdom processing is not required.
Not by Smileproof. It is processed transiently to create the preview and never stored by us. Our AI provider may retain inputs for a limited period (up to 55 days) solely for abuse monitoring, and never uses them to train models.
Yes. The entire workflow runs in Arabic as well as English, and it works on any device with no Apple requirement.
No. Neither is offered. We designed the cross-border flow to work with explicit consent, SCCs and TRA registration rather than in-region processing.
The clinic is the data controller and obtains the patient's explicit consent before use. Smileproof acts as the processor and uses the image only to generate the requested preview.
